Fixed Penalty Notices
The Traffic Management Act introduced enforcement under Part 4 of the Act and listed NRSWA offences that may be resolved under the Fixed Penalty Notice system. This is envisaged to save Court time and money and to offer offenders an alternative to court proceedings and other fines.
NRSWA Fixed Penalty Notice offences are as follows:
- An offence under s.54(5)
- An offence under s.55(5)
- An offence under s.55(9)(a)
- An offence under s.57(4)
- An offence under s.70 (6) consisting of failure to comply with subsection (3) or (4A)(b).
- An offence created by regulations made under s.74A(7B)
- An offence created by regulations made under s.74A (11)
